Pentingnya implementasi budaya lokal pada peserta didik sebagai landasan dalam pembentukan karakter. Cara yang digunakan untuk menghasilkan sebuah karakter dapat dilakukan dengan memasukkan unsur-unsur kebudayaan yang ada di wilayah tersebut. Pembiasaan baik dapat ditempuh melalui aturan-aturan yang diberlakukan sekolah seperti peningkatan keterampilan peserta didik dengan memberikan fasilitas dan dukungan, penggunaan bahasa tradisional dan penggunaan pakaian tradisional, sehingga dapat memicu perkembangan karakter pada peserta didik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan budaya lokal Thailand dan pembentukan karakter peserta didik di Phatnawitya Demonstration School Yala. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian didapatkan dari hasil wawancara, hasil observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi budaya lokal yang diterapkan di Phatnawitya Demonstration School dapat membentuk karakter peserta didik.
