Hubungan Sikap Percaya Diri Siswa dengan Kemampuan Speaking

Abstract
Maksud dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan sikap percaya diri siswa dengan
kemampuan speaking siswa kelas III di SDIT Raudlatul Jannah Ciawi Bogor. Latar belakang permasalahan penelitian di SDIT Raudlatul Jannah Ciawi Bogor yakni Banyaknya siswa yang kurang percaya diri dalam kemampuan speaking dikarenakan antusias siswa yang kurang pada pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris, kurangnya pengembangan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di kelas dan adanya kesulitan guru saat kegiatan belajar mengajar Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian korelasional yang bermaksud untuk mencari apakah ada hubungan dari sikap percaya diri siswa dengan kemampuan speaking siswa kelas III
SDIT Raudlatul Jannah Ciawi Bogor. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis koefisien korelasi, koefisien
determinasi dan uji signifikan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan hasil pengkajian yang telah dilakukan dengan jumlah sampel penelitian 84 siswa, hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai r hitung < r tabel (0,400 – 0,599) maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara sikap percaya diri siswa dengan kemampuan speaking siswa kelas III SDIT Raudlatul Jannah Ciawi Bogor. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji korelasi antara sikap percaya diri siswa dengan kemampuan speaking siswa tingkat keeratan variabel X dan Y diperoleh nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,422, maka bisa diartikan bahwa derajat hubungan antara Sikap
Percaya Diri Siswa dengan Kemampuan Speaking Siswa adalah cukup kuat. Hubungan sikap percaya diri siswa dengan kemampuan speaking siswa tergolong memiliki hubungan signifikan sebesar 17,8%.
