Persepsi Mahasiswa Tentang Pendidikan Multikultural Di Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar

Abstract
Pendidikan multikultural bukan lagi sebuah wacana dalam pendidikan formal namun telah terimplementasikan di sekolah dan lembaga perguruan tinggi. Tantangan yang dihadapi tidak semua pelaku baik pendidik dan peserta didik memiliki pemahaman yang sama terkait pendidikan multikultural. Oleh karena itu, mahasiswa fakultas pendidikan khususnya mahasiswa PGSD perlu memahami pendidikan multikultural dan penerapannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, dimana peneliti mengungkapkan persepsi mahasiswa PGSD terkait fokus tentang pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural dari aspek individu dan dosen di perguruan tinggi. Seluruh data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner dan wawancara mendalam untuk memperoleh sintesis dan deskriptif yang meyakinkan sesuai tujuan penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian diperoleh informasi bahwa mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Universitas Djuanda Bogor menunjukkan bahwa 40,5% mahasiswa memiliki persepsi sangat baik terhadap implementasi pendidikan multikultural secara individual sedangkan pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural yang diterapkan oleh dosen memiliki persentase sebesar 22,77% menilai sangat baik. Bentuk-bentuk pelaksanaan pendidikan multikultural mahasiswa diantaranya menunjukkan sikap saling menghargai, menghormati, respek, toleransi, bersikap sopan dan lemah lembut. Selanjutnya bagi dosen perlu meningkatkan layanan pembelajaran yang menunjang aktivitas multikultural dalam pembelajaran dan bimbingan kepada mahasiswa.
