UPAYA MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPA MELALUI CONTEXTUAL TEACHING AND LEARNING SISWA KELAS III SEKOLAH DASAR

Kegiatan belajar dikatakan berhasil apabila menghasilkan kegiatan belajar pada diri peserta didik, dengan tujuan pengajaran menjadi hasil potensial yang akan dicapai oleh siswa melalui kegiatan belajarnya. Oleh karenanya, tes hasil belajar sebagai alat untuk mengukur hasil belajar harus mengukur apa yang dimaknai dalam proses proses mengajar sesuai dengan tujuan intruksional yang tercantum dalam kurikulum yang berlaku.Hasil observasi diperoleh data prasiklus, hanya 14 peserta didik atau 51,85% yang tuntas, (KKM= 67) , dengan rata-rata 65, maka perlu dilakukan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian bertujuan meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA melalui model Contextual teaching and learning. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas III SD Negeri Cialing Kecamatan Cikidang, Kabupaten Sukabumi, dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 27 peserta didik dengan batasan 85% lulus KKM. Data yang dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes hasil belajar dan dokumentasi. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan model Penelitain Tindakan Kelas Kemmis dan Mc Tagart dengan hasil sebagai berikut: terjadi kenaikan hasil belajar sebesar 13 poin dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan 4 poin dari siklus I ke siklus II , terjadi kenaikan persentase ketuntasan peserta didik terhadap KKM sebesar 22,22% dari pra siklus ke siklus I dan 14,83% dari siklus I ke siklus II. Sebanyak 88,9% tuntas KKM, sehingga dapat mencapai kriteria keberhasilan yang diharapkan pada siklus II yaitu minimal 85% tuntas KKM. Dari hasil penelitian tindakan kelas melalui siklus I dan siklus II dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan model model Contextual teaching and learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD Negeri Cialing Kecamatan Cikidang Kabupaten Sukabumi.
