Abstract

Pancer Tourism Village is one of the Tourist Villages in Serang City, which has the characteristics of marine and historical tourism. However, its management activities still need to be optimized, making it difficult for this tourist village to develop even though it has a lot of potentials to be designed. This research aims to determine how the management of Pancer Tourism Village development is carried out by the City of Serang Tourism, Youth and Sports Office, what obstacles affect the development process, and the solutions to overcome these obstacles. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with descriptive analysis to explore how the management and development of the Pancer Tourism village. Based on the study's results, the development management carried out by the City of Serang Tourism, Youth and Sports Office has yet to run optimally. It can be seen from the facilities in the Pancer Tourism Village, which are still inadequate, the waste condition for which a solution cannot be found, good coordination has not been established between the Disparpora and Tourism Village Managers, the role of Pokdarwis is not yet optimal in managing tourist villages, and Disparpora carries out no standardization of supervision. So that in the future, the government is expected to optimize existing resources further to develop Pancer Tourism Village.
